
The Government again increase the price of petroleum products.
- Finance Minister Miftah Ismail said that 7% tax apply on petroleum products.
- Starting from 1st July petrol Rs248.74 per litter.
The Federal Government increase the price of all petroleum products on Thursday night.
Previously price of petrol was Rs233.89 per litter & Diesel price Rs263.31 per litter but now petrol increase Rs14.85 per litter & Diesel increase Rs13.23 per litter.
Starting 1st July the new price of petrol Rs248.74 per litter & Diesel Rs276.54 per litter, kerosene oil will be sold for Rs230.26 per litter.

Addressing a press conference after increase the petrol price by the State Minister of Petroleum Mussadaq Malik ,Finance Minister Miftah Ismail said that progress has been made on the IMF program and talks with IMF officials are continuing in a positive manner. Ismail accused former Prime Minister Imran Khan of violating the IMF agreement. He added that the prices of petroleum products in the world market have been increased.
Pakistan has also received the Memorandum of Economic and Financial Policies (MEFP) for the Seventh and Eighth Review, under which there are some precautionary measures," he said. The price of petrol had to be increased to restore the program.
He said that unlike the previous government, which "provided all the COVID aid related to the rich to the rich", any foreign aid would be diverted to the middle-income classes and those who were looking for jobs. Jobs will be created.
